The only thing I can think of relies on everyone there in on the trick (which is a common belief with his tricks).. then when he has the blankets up.. people run up from the berm behind them where you can't see them.. then they dive under the blankets and do the lil hand motions. I'm sure they use some sort of the same trickery with him showing up under there.

I have to agree 100% with this. I remember seeing a trick he did where he walked on the water at a vegas pool. people were swimming underneath him and everything. I saw a video that showed how he did this, and it's basically a clear plastic thing that he is walking on and the illusion only works if the camera is at certain angles. The crowd was acting surprised, but all of them could easily see how he was doing the trick.

One thing you can clearly see... When Criss runs off to the water, it's not Cris... Whoever it is keeps his head down and never looks towards us, just runs off face down and covered by hair. Also, that's the reason Cris pulls the sheet up over his head for a moment, to conceal the old switcherroo with his double (who as mentioned, quickly snuck up behind him)...

And it is sand for crying out loud, maybe these people were buried in the sand lol.

The people were obviously in on it.
The hotties had huge blankets instead of beach towels......

there was a small crest to the beach so if you walked twenty feet back, you would pretty much disappear.
The camera stayed low so that when the blanket was raised, you couldn't see the people walking up from behind

Totally agree chris angel is a tool, what u guys think about david blaine ( his street tricks), besides his corny nyc publicity stunts.
