Default Tornado Red Paint

Does anyone know where I can find paint (rattle can) that are pretty close to the tornado red color? I tried a couple from home depot as trial and error but they are always off.

ive never found a spray can but the toyota tacoma radiant red paint is dead one for touch up purposes. You might be able to find a spray can of that online.

^ Glad to see people still remember that post I made eons ago. Yeah I was surprised when I bought it, but it was dead on. I dont know if you can get it in a spray can variety though, Im sure body shops would be happy to mix up a can for you if you were to ask.

^ Ahh thanks! Yea that's a little stiff. I wonder if a can would be able to cover a whole tail fairing.

I painted my tail fairing with some flat black paint out of the can. I painted it to cover some scratches and shit. One can was enough to cover it all. Do some prep work with sanding and you should be fine.

I agree with the color rite if you want to make it look right. Standox used to make the paint for Triumph Tornado Red. Not sure if they still do. There is this moto paint shop in South Florida called Custom Coatings that maybe can sell you some as these guys do great work and are a bunch of perfectionists. I am sure they have done paint on this color many times.

A can should easily cover your tail fairing.

Looks like the Toyota Radiant Red code is 3L5. I would assume Duplicolor carries this in their Perfect Match line. I'll see if I can find a can at my local stores.

Just came from my local auto parts store and their Dupli-color catalog does not list this color by name or code #. Let's keep looking.
