Default re-assembled clutch, now no tension!

hey guys, i put back my clutch today and i have no tension in the lever..
There is some tension on the clutch arm but it doesn't translate to the lever

similar if not exactly to what this guy is experiencing

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDa3l5WgeS0&feature=plcp

Bike is daytona 675

The way i'm doing it is... move the arm to the left, put the clutch cover on.. move the arm more to the left and attach cable

any help is appreciated!

Sounds like the fork in the clutch cover is not grabbing the rod that goes through the clutch. It's possible the rod got pushed in during assembly so that it isn't in position for the fork to grab it.
