Motorcycling: Portuguese rider dies in Macau qualifier Pictured above, Portuguese rider Luis Filipe de Sousa Carreira (Center, in white), competitor No. 33, receives medial attention after a racing accident at Fisherman's Bend during the qualifying session of the Macao Motorcycle Grand Prix in Macao, south China, November 15, 2012. He crashed in the qualifying session of the 46th edition of Macao Motorcycle Grand Prix, and died after being sent to hospital, said the Macao Grand Prix Committee on Thursday night, Xinhua News Agency reported.

RIP.
The street course in Macao is so dangerous they should not hold any motorcycle race there. It's basically Isle of Man with walls, zero run off areas. |

That sucks. RIP. In the first picture I would say he needs to get his head out there a little more but if he did it would smack the wall. That doesnt look safe at all.

Anyone watch the videos on Youtube? Doesn't show the accident but does show the aftermath. The EMTs are in panic mode and you see his head bouncing around all over the place despite the neck brace meant to protect him. I wouldn't be surprised if the EMTs caused his death. They drove him to the hospital, they did not life flight him. If he was alive getting into the ambulance I can only guess the ambulance ride killed him.
