If you have a 2006/2007 Daytona then it's probably the service item relay for the fuel pump. There should be a bracket to hold it in place which connects by using two of the bolts on the stator cover. Do you have a bracket left over?

no left over bracket. i connected the part that attaches to the stator with 2 bolts, that one i remembered fine. this relay has it's own mount with a single bolt attachment.
i will look in the service manual for fuel pump relay. |

That's sorted then. If your bike is 2006/2007 you may not find the fuel pump relay mentioned as it was a service part fitted at service time and not fitted at the factory on the early bikes. It was retro fitted due to people who stopped the motor with the kill switch regularly which in some cases could fry the ECU or fuel pump.
