Ah I thought it was tapped out in the sense that it has begun to stagnate. My bad carry on ;)

I downloaded it in the past. Bulit the Quick-E-Mart, then promptly removed it from my phone. And the worst part about it it took soooooo long to download.

Clash of Clans is pretty fun. You bulid up your own army, then attack others for their resources.

Do you have to buy stuff in order to stay competitive?

I was playing a game similar to what you describe and in order to advance you had to attack over bases. Well I and others always tried to spread that out so no one person got attacked too much because when you attacked you stole stuff from them. The primary objective of our attacks however was a bonus you got that allowed you to buy upgrades and had nothing to do with what you steal. Well that went fine until our levels started getting higher and some yankers came in and bought there way to higher levels and just proceeded to hammer on just me over and over. It became impossible to do anything without purchasing upgrades which I refuse to do. I don't participate in micro transactions their a complete rip off. If a developer wants my money make a good game and charge for it. If they need more money then make a good upgrade for it and charge for it.

The Simpsons Tapped out has micro transactions but you can continue to progress without them.
