Default Triumph is replacing all old R/R units with the new Mosfet free of charge

Okay since it seems a lot of people aren't aware of this I'll make a new thread and hopefully we can get it stickied.

Triumph is now replacing all older R/R units in or out of warranty. This is a service action and applies whether or not your bike is under warranty.

There are 4 Service Bulletins mandating replacement for R/R units for the following vins and models.

All Daytonas up to vin# 381274 includes a new wire/hose guide
Daytonas 381275 to 459504

All Street Triples up to vin# 354281 includes a new wire/hose guide
Street Triples VIN 354282 to 456776

So there is something new and it's not a goodwill it's an across the board replacement failed or not for all affected vins.

Considering my old one failed and the dealer WOULDN'T replace it so I just bought a new one... can I just bring the old one in to exchange it for a backup? Because that'd be spiffy.

That would be highly unlikely. Although this is now an across the board replacement it's typical that these are still considered GoodWill warranties and as such if you replaced it on your own then the job is done. It never hurts to ask though.

I figured, with enough polite agitation I could probably get one.

"You said this wasn't a problem and I had to pay to fix it. Triumph now says it's a problem. COME AT ME BRO."

I could always just reinstall the old one but then I have to reattach connectors and whatnot. Meh, I'll just ask nicely and see what happens, haha.

MacBandit, I forget are you still working at a Triumph dealer?

Thanks for the good news. Is there an ''expiration date'' for this offer?

Since it's not a recall then there probably is but at this point it's unknown.

I haven't been with the dealer since Spring but everyone there is still good friends so I have pretty much as much access to information as I did when I worked there.

Do you happen to have copies of these service bulletins? I called my dealer and they knew nothing of it.

Tell them to go check their service bulletins on Triumph online. There are 4 new ones that were posted a couple weeks back, all of which mention the r/r in the title. No sorry I can't give you copies or even copy it as it says right at the top of every Triumph document "Strictly Confidential". I guess there's probably no harm in giving the bulletin numbers though. SB 443, 444, 445, 446.

Only USA, or world wide?
