I thought you guys would appreciate this... I installed a 5V 3A USB charging port on the right infill panel. The port is waterproof and is using a voltage regulator meant for radio controlled airplanes to provide the juice. An iPad requires 2A to charge, so this is more than enough to power a few devices at once.
I'm not really great with a Dremel so I may try to get a new infill panel and cut it with a CNC. To keep the wire under control, I'm going to use a waterproof USB extension cable with a right-angle plug to feed into my tank bag. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

What about water? I would get some kind of cover for it.

Looks like you have a cap on the top for water but what about on the other side of the panel?
Definitely a clean install though, nice work!

Great mod. Been thinkin of doing this instead of the sae>cig adapter>cig usb charger>phone/gps/GoPro whatever. Nice to see it works. Thanks for the motivation

I love having a USB Port on my bike
![]() But I put mine near the handle bars and I have a craddle for my phone to sit in that is very convenient; having a full charge on the phone always while riding and streaming music is great

There are actually quite a few nice USB ports on the market. Powerlet has a couple options and are coming out with more. 3A is a little high, I would not plug a GoPro into that.

Er, it just _can_ give out 3A, it's not _forced to_, is it ?
