Hello to all, well first track day/ weekend at mosport with the ohlins kit done.
and it felt bloody good! set up the bike to stock ohlins specs, sag, comp and rebound. the first day i just left it alone cause i was rusty after winter, feel at turn in and lean was much improved. got faster in pm sessions and the rider felt a little better. it seems to my slow self that the harder you push and get your boobs on the tank the bike gives so much feedback. a little hop from rear under braking at end of back straight and entering turn two, thought need to add rebound, but checked ohlins book and said to back off a click or two so did that and felt better. sun was sad in the am sessions, i felt i could not ride a bike, wrong body position, no flow with the track etc. too much beer sat night probably. then in the pm sessions i guess the baannaannas, trail mix, water and tuna snackers kicked in and away we went. felt good. feedback from the front brilliant, rear lovely as well. sunday night had a chat with a mate chris duc tech and had him check my setting by feel he reckonned i was close but said try a click out on comp at the front, we did and on monday again improved feel, but by the getting tired so just enjoyed the day. know i still have to work on the settings and maybe oil level but so far happy as a box of fluffy ducks! vid is from monday am, would have had some from sat/sun but the rider brought the wrong batterys for the go-pro, have some vid but very shakey, 4a batterys do fit in a 3a go-pro but get very hot! [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLFaz_gzFH4"]mosport 2012 take 3 - YouTube[/nomedia] [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xW-PPv9-fPQ"]triumph on track 2 - YouTube[/nomedia] well , thats about it, all of the woodcraft mods did the job as always, and found the puig doub bubble screen works a treat. oh, got a lead on some attack tripple clamps and a moto holder sub frame anyone got any info on those? all the best, cheers, todd
