Hey Everyone,
Just thought I would throw this one out there. Shoei now has an X-Twelve that offers a Union Jack flag and Union Jack styling over the sides of the helmet. Retail for this helmet is $807.99. Check out www.Shoei-helmets.com for other new Shoei graphics. -Brandon

Be a whole lot cooler if it just didnt have the union jack. Paint scheme is badass other than that.

Honest to God...
I cannot understand how these helmet manufacturers can get away with charging that amount of money for a damn helmet! It's such a blatant rip off. I guess that there must be lots of people with lots of money who are silly enough to pay that sort of bullshit price. $800 for a helmet... Damn! S.

While I don't think it is a rip off, it is a little too rich for my blood.

Sure there are PLENTY of helmets in a more reasonable price range but you have to remember that those helmets are mostly machine made versus hand made. The materials used are also not of the best quality and lastly the levels of which those helmets passed in certain safety requirements may not be nearly as high as where a premium helmet may pass with. Anyway, everyone has their own take on helmets and what they want to get out of it.

If you read the Sharp report on testing different brands of helmets you will find that not all the so-called high end helmets are that good.
As a matter of fact, compared to the number tested relatively few passed the tests and were awarded 5 stars. One of the cheapest tested was the Lazer which proves that it is possible to make a safe helmet at a cheap price. A lot of the higher end helmets failed. S.

Not my Shark RSR2! That helmet got 5 stars when tested at the time and I think the only one during that test. Great helmet and I got mine on sale. There are indeed plenty other helmets that do the job without that kind of pricetag.
