Stupid things people say to you while wearing gear?

I'm just curious what kind of things you hear from people when wearing your gear in public? I wear all protective gear but usually blue jeans instead of my riding pants and get repeated stares from my jacket, boots, etc when going in to get something at the store or if i am out with friends.

I was out last night and this guy i was walking past glances at me and asks why i am wearing all this ridiculous gear, especially dumbass looking boots "just" to ride a motorcycle? I resisted the overwhelming desire to put my helmet on and headbutt him and just responded "because i like my ankles attached to my leg" then walked away.....

Typical response - "Doesn't all that gear make you hot?"
Track/race suit - "You look like a power ranger"

I went on a private bike tour outside of Barcelona a few years back. Both myself and my guide had full leathers on, and my guide leads me to a restaurant for lunch. Ended up being a really nice place in the countryside, no way I thought they'd let us in. He assured me it wasn't an issue, and takes clients there all the time after a ride. Picture two sweaty guys in full race suits having a 5 course lunch with fine silverwere and linens.

What a site we must have been, should have taken a picture.

'Arent you hot?' 9 times out of 10. The other times it's 'keep the helmet on when we do it' idk if that's an insult or not

I wear my gear n people ask, ru riding a motorcycle or something...no I'm just wearing my gear cuz it makes me look taller n bigger, I'm 5'5''

To which I usually have to respond: "nah, I was way hot even before I put on this sexy gear."
