Default Would you want to do business with this company?

I am currently in the process of rebuilding the carburetors for a friend with a 75 Goldwing so I was looking for a good source of parts. I happen across a company that appeared to be legitimate and even read a couple recommendations online for them. Well from my point of view I wouldn't piss on their head if their hair was on fire. I've included my communications with the company below so you can decide for yourself. Keep in mind this is through ebay so the communication is through forms and not email. If you feel that this was as absurd as I do please pass it along to any fellow motorcyclists as this company sells parts for many brands of bikes. They do business under the names of Saber Cycle and Barracuda Bike Parts.

Dear sabercyclegoldwingparts,

What are the sizes of the jets included in the kit?

Dear louiskst,

Question previously responded to , and also not an acceptable condition of the offer or sale. Goods offered as pictured and described, nothing further

Dear sabercyclegoldwingparts,

What kind of response is that? All I want to know is what jet sizes are included in the kit.

Dear louiskst,

Forget it, we answered you. The item is no longer available to you. Look somewhere else for supplies.

Dear sabercyclegoldwingparts,

Yes you answered me but you did not answer my question. I can't believe your attitude. It's astounding you can do business with this sort of customer service. I'll make sure and spread the word to all my customers, clubs, and groups whether or not they are in need of parts that you provide about what sort of customer service you provide and advise vehemently against doing business with you. You must feel powerful in telling a customer to get lost but you don't realize whose on the other end of every conversation. This time it happened to be technician with a large customer base. Good bye!

Yes KL and a lot of other companies make kits. The source really isn't a problem.

We specialize in Goldwings parts and accessories. If you have to ask the jet size in our carb kits then you obviously do not have a GW. The jet size of 1975 GL1000 carburetors is publicly available online and in workshop manuals. We stated "Goods offered as pictured and described, nothing further" because we are simply not interested in selling our carb kits to non GW customers then risk an item not described dispute on ebay. Does K&L Supply provide carb kit jet size info in their catalog or on their packaging? No, and we doubt that they, or Keyster and Napco, will provide that information to you.

if you answered me in that same manner i would have raised just as much if not more hell. the customer was just making sure that the size of the jet was what he needed...maybe the goldwing hes working on has an exhaust and needs a bigger jet?

it would have taken you 2 seconds to answer the question and add a "thank you for your inquiry" on it.

Customer service is pretty much the only differential between suppliers nowadays...and in that category you obviously lose

and to top it off you telling him to go elsewhere cause your all high and mighty and dont want to sell it to him anymore cause he questioned you....wow you certainly wont be around much longer
