'13 Engine into an '06 - It can be done

AFAIK the first generational engine swap:

https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles...into_06_frame/

https://www.reddit.com/r/Triumph/com...t_up_to_an_06/

From the thread, it was pretty painless. Most things bolted right up. He did make some Franken headers - mating the oval ported ends from '13 headers to his original '06 tubing. But I wonder if the '09+ headers would mate without the chop n weld.

Throttles on the right, so are the brakes. Good luck

That's not a third gen engine. I'm not doubting it's a 2013, but it's an early 2013 before the update, so essentially the same as 09-12. Nothing novel there.

It is. Someone should tell that guy before people start running out to buy 3rd gen motors.

I dropped comments in those threads to note that its a Gen 2 engine, not a Gen 3.

I will have to do a third gen motor in the future as no reason to stick with a 2nd gen, when a 3rd gen makes more power stock than a modded 2nd gen..
Suppose I will start looking, have my spare wheels for the ducati and the exhaust i was wanting just sold to a guy in vegas.

Most of you people are not capable of being your GD self, to damn worried about being politcally correct.
