This post is made on demand to put the links together for the different maps that are posted in the Tuneboy thread as well as on other sites.

Now, this is not intended to be a complete historical review about all the tunes that are posted during the last two years, I will however try to mention the ones that still are used by people on this site. Maybe it is best to only keep links to new maps in this thread and keep the discussions and explanations in the longer thread?

When You have downloaded a new tune, You should reset the adapted settings. A short how-to for this may be found in this post.

A "how-to" about the use of PCIII-tunes for Tuneboy is to be found in post #3 here below.

As a start All the latest OEM tunes may be downloaded from the Tuneboy home page .

With the stock exhaust, Wayne MacDonald (Tuneboy himself) have developed a custom tune that have gotten good reviews from users on this site.

The earliest tune for a custom slip-on exhaust is the Madas file tuned by MacDonald. The name of the exhaust is spelled incorrectly the manufacturer is an Australian specialist. Description of the map as well as download may be found in this post.

Jardine slip-on exhaust:

Undii on this site published the first dyno-tune for this exhaust. It may be found in this post.

Further on, the most popular custom Jardine-map seems to be Wayne MacDonalds version:

This tune disables the OEM lambda sensor to allow a smoother behaviour. Info about this map may be found here, here and here.

Jardine slip-on with stock downpipes, Hord 3-1 Collector and Mandrel bend (no EXBV and cat), BMC air filter
Pointagrouse have been kind enough to share his dynodeveloped tune for this setup (based on 20110) that You may download from here. His own description of the tune together with dyno sheets may be found in this post. Thanks for the tune and enjoy!

Bleakster have made the job with transferring the tune above for the 20137 base tune! It is modified to fit a custom gearing and to run without OEM O2 sensor. Bleakster is also running the tune on an identical downpipe but with a TBR slip-on at the end. His modified tune may be downloaded here.

PCIII maps for Jardine, BOS, Jardine, TwoBrothers, Leo-Vince slip-on, Arrow full system etc may be found in this file.

Leo Vince full system:

[Flux] on this site published a Dyno-tuned map for his full system. Info and download may be done here.

[Flux] new and better map with a lot of work behind by the author and ggillies may be downloaded here . Post with his own descriptions and reviews may be found in Triumph675.Net Forums - View Single Post - TuneBoy maps -- post / download them here . Please leave [Flux] a review if You try this.

AZ675 have supplied us with [Flux]V01-map transmitted to 20154-base by Wayne MacDonald. So the -08 owners may download this map at http://street.lindata.se/BMC-Full-Leo-Vince-V01_20154.dat

Arrow full system

AZ675 is the honorable author of the following PCIII and Tuneboy custom tunes for a -08 ECU, Arrow stage 1 full system, OEM air filter, O2-sensor and SAI disabled. Dyno results of his work and compared to the tunes below may be found in this thread: Dyno Results (Graphs) - Triumph675.Net Forums
Conditions during dyno work: 100 deg F´, 1 500 ft elevations

PCIII: http://street.lindata.se/ArrowPC3noO2sai.DJM
Tuneboy: http://street.lindata.se/20154TuneWPCIIICUSTOMnoO2sai.dat

AZ675 have also contributed with a custom 20154-map tweaked by Wayne MacDonald for Arrow full system. The impressive dyno sheet: http://street.lindata.se/Arrow_vs_ModifiedArrowMap.jpg . Link to tune: http://street.lindata.se/20154TuneMod.dat

Kudos to [Flux] and AZ675 for sharing with us!

Also, the PCIII-map for arrow full system applied on basemap 20110 may be used for the full systems:
http://street.lindata.se/20110Tune+ArrowPCIII.dat

Remus full system

Thanks to Midtkil here on the forum, there is a PCIII tune for the Remus full system avaliable for download here. Dyno sheets may be found here. Midtkil have a -07 675 and the Arrow full system tune should be loaded in ECU in order for the PCIII-tune to work in a proper way. Thank You Midtkil!

TwoBrothers slip-on

There is a PCIII-map to find for this exhaust at the link above. Also, the PCIII applied on the 20135 basemap may be dl at:
http://street.lindata.se/20135Tune+TBRPCIII.dat

A dyno-tuned PCIII-tune from a ´07 Daytona with a standard base tune from Hank111, a fellow Swede's bike may be downloaded here. Thank You Henrik for sharing:)

I am tuning my own bike with a WB lambda equipment during normal driving conditions.

675 Trip have a complete library of tunes with a special interest in the Twobrothers maps at http://www.race-oil.com/tuneboy/

I have a small webhost at http://street.lindata.se/ where the mixedAF tune from the site above may be found, as well as the newest version of the AF 13.1 map (after the dyno run - slightly more power than earlier versions). A short description of the map may also be found there. AFR:s and Dyno charts from the work with v4 may be found in post Triumph675.Net Forums - View Single Post - URL:s to Tuneboy and PCIII tunes for 675

Slip-on (TBR M2), foam airfilter, gutted cat, no EXBV, Hord velocity stacks, 16/49 sprocket combo

Right now I'm working with 2 different tunes for this setup. As the TBR with the gutted cat and removed EXBV is way too loud for our Swedish tracks (102 dB passing by), I've been forced to use a slightly modded P1 tip to reduce noice to below 95 dB. The latest unrestricted tune may be found here (TuneECU hex file here)and the older, not updated for restricted flow here.

If You are having a hard time finding a tune that works with an modded OEM system, feel free to test one of the above...

New generation Daytona (-09) with BMC air filter, Slip-on (Arrow), gutted cat, no EXBV, O2 sensor disabled

Duff Boy have been kind enough to supply us with a dyno-developed tune for the new gen engine with the specs above. You'll find his tune and dyno charts in this post. Thanks a lot for this first shared tune for the new ECU!

STREET TRIPLE:

A general description of standard maps at the Tuneboy site for this bike can be found at Triumph675.Net Forums - View Single Post - arrow twin high pipe

Compareable dyno charts for standard vs arrow may be found at: Triumph675.Net Forums - View Single Post - Exhaust Performance Data?

Standard Exhaust

CrazyCam have developed a tune based on the 20198 tune for his Striple with OEM air filter/exhaust: http://street.lindata.se/20198TuneWeaponry.dat . Link to the dyno sheet: http://street.lindata.se/20198TOR+Mods.jpg

Gutted standard exhaust with catalysator completly removed and cans fe-baffled and rebuilt ("straight thru")

CrazyCam have developed a tune based on the 20198 tune for his Striple with rebuilt OEM system and got quite interesting gains, more than 5 hp on top and a much smoother torque development. The dyno sheet may be found here and CC's dyno tune may be downloaded from here. Red line are after the rebutlt system, blue line with the stock system.

Thanks for Your efforts and willingness to share Your work, CrazyCam!

Arrow full system

Wayne M have a dyno tune for this setup that get rid of the popping at decel. Dyno chart and link to the map can be found via this post: Triumph675.Net Forums - View Single Post - Any pics of Stripple with Arrow shorty W/O bellypan?

I know there are more tunes and maps to be found amoung the users and please add links to new maps and their descriptions, and Ill try to keep this first post as updated as possible. Or PM me and I may host Your tune on the server above.

I hope this will make things a little bit easier for new TB users, finding their way to the tunes.

TuneECU files - Str3

Dave73 have been kind enough to translate a couple of Dyno tunes for the Street triple, as well as his own, modded setup. The package can be downloaded here as a zip file and here is Davids own description of the tunes:

20109 Tune is an exact copy of the tune modified by Wayne for use with a tuneboy on a stock bike, only this is a .hex version

20199 Tune is the same for a street triple with arrow exhaust. This is a .hex version of Waynes dyno tune for tuneboy: Street Triple with Arrow 3:1

20395 Tune is my dyno tune. Street Triple with modified airbox, custom 3:1 low exhaust, and Daytona camshafts.

Thank You for sharing, David!

Tuning Your bike via Dyno-Link - Tuneboy

Twinct have been kind enough to dig up a user manual that better describes the process for the average "Dyno-Joe". We both hope that this might help You to convince the PCIII-heads to give it a try. The manual is written for the older SAGEM ECU, but will work for our bikes as well. Link on this site: http://www.triumph675.net/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=13680&d=1266183680 Link to Tuneboy home page: http://www.tuneboy.com.au/Tutorials/TuningLinkTutorial.html
Here is the supplied mirror link to the manual: zSHARE - usingtuneeditwithtuninglink.pdf

Back-up for the Tuneboy software package

Twinct has also taken his time to supply You with a mirror site for the software. It might be downloaded at: zSHARE - TuneEdit.zip

Thank You Twinct for Your efforts to help fellow riders out with these services:thumbup:

Very useful post, thanks roffe!

BTW, is using a PCIII tune with TuneBoy as simple as loading the tune? Do you need to do anything special to make a PCIII tune compatible with the TuneBoy software? Let me know. Thanks! :cool2:

...BTW, is using a PCIII tune with TuneBoy as simple as loading the tune? Do you need to do anything special to make a PCIII tune compatible with the TuneBoy software? Let me know. Thanks! :cool2:
Hi Shane!

It's as easy as anything else. Just download the PCIII-tune to Your computer and be sure to check what basemap the PCIII-tune is using. Then do the following:

1 - Start TuneEdit and open the basemap used by the PCIII-map.
2 - Select menu "File - Apply PCIII-map"
3 - Choose the PCIII-tune You downloaded.
4 - The changes done by the PCIII-tune are now applied in the "fuel % trim"-sheet. EDIT - the new Tuneboy versions only seems to apply the changes to the cylinder #1 table. If so, just choose menu "Edit - Copy table" and then "Edit - Paste table" for cylinder #2 and #3 - EDIT. You may then choose to just save the new tune with a new name (menu "File - Save Tune File") or You can first choose menu "Tools - Commit trims to main table". Doing this You may study the new fuel tables in the 3D-sheet to see if You like the look (and the trim tables will return to zero). Either way, the changes will be used by the ECU.
5 - After saving the file, connect to Your bike and upload the new map.

I hope this will serve as a short how-to... Good luck:thumbup:

Wow we all owe you one for puting this up. Will save us all alot of time when it's time to tune our bikes. I just put on my TBR this past week and couldn't find anything in that massive tuneboy post.

I am now in debt to you

Thank you very much for the links and the info on the tunes... Now that I have the Leo Vince slip-on I may try the PCIII tune and see how it compares to your tune... We'll see if a corporation really is as good as a well educated enthusiast such as yourself...

#7 ·
Thanks Roffe s
Just what we needed and hopefully they can make it a sticky as i'm sure everyone would appreciate.

Sorry, but the PCIII is not supporting speedo and/or ignition adjustments. Also, the TuneEdit software doesn't support the "backward" translation from a custom map to a base map + PCIII map. I guess it could be done quite easily (pure mathematics) but I just cannot see the benefit för TuneBoy with that translation?

Good luck anyway!

#10 ·
O.K. I got the PCIII map for the leovince slip on... The standard map used was the 20108, When I check maps the 20108 can be a few different maps, I'm not finding one that is just 20108 on Tuneboys site... I used 20208 which is I believe just a newer version of 20108?? So I opened 20208, clicked for it to apply the pcIII map and adjusted for the speedo correction, but as far as the map itself it appears that none of the figures in the 20208 map is actually changing... Any ideas?

PragB - have You looked in the "fuel % trim" - table after applying the PCIII-map? There is where the changes in the PCIII will stay (in %) until You choose to "Commit the changes to main table".

20203 is probably the correct tune to use as 20108 was the std tune for the -06.

I tried the files on my computer and it worked just fine!

Good luck - If it still bothers You, PM me and I'll send You the file;-)

when I open my tuneedit I dont have the options on the page to switch between fuel map, ignition limit, fuel%trim etc... I have tunedit 3.5.0

edit: ok nevermind I now have it in advanced mode...

edit: ok... I think I finally got it now... Thanks...

While waiting for an input from a Shark owner, Ducnut is( still?) running Shark with TOR tune and made a dyno run with AF log on Hordboys dyno in the thread http://www.triumph675.net/forum/showthread.php?t=11101&highlight=dyno

It seems to work quite well, if You would like to gain some smoothness or maybe the last hp, one of the other slip-on maps might add some value.

However, this is yet to be verified by a Shark- and Tuneboy owner:smile:

My 2p

Does anyone have a decent Tuneboy Map to run with the Shark Pipes? Or which of the above would be best suited as a starting point?
Thanks

Seems to be for a Street Triple??? I tried loading it and got an error message telling me it was the wrong ECU type???

I'll e-mail Wayne and find out what his take is...

Whats a good map for the 675 with full arrow system? ...
There are a couple of Arrow maps tweaked by users on this site, unfortunately no one shared here yet. I would try the PCIII - map and compare that to the standard Triumph Arrow map.

...By the way, anybody here notice the change in Tunes??? The standard 675 Tune used to be called "20108" but now up on the Tuneboy site (and included with the latest version software) the standard 675 Tune is called "20203"...
They were announced during last autumn and I had a breif look to spot the changes. I believe I didnt find any changes in the tables, so the upgrade must be related to other functions...

^^^ Uhhh, the Full Arrow Exhaust Tune from Tuneboy, of course...

The Aftermarket Exhaust tune has also changed from "20109" to "20204". Does anybody know what has changed about them?

Already disconnected the O2 sensor, and am contemplating cutting out the section with the exup valve & cat... what would be the best map to run?? The Leo Vince full system map?? I don't want to have to change the plugs so I don't think I should do the Arrow?? Would I have to with the Leo full map?? Any thoughts??

#28 ·
Wow PragB, You relly are bitten by the mod bug eh?. You are doing a impressive work on Your bike!

I wouldnt worry too much about the small spec difference between the plugs. Actually, I've got some NGK iridium of the Arrow specs lying around until its time to make the big service for me, just because of the ign advance and the earlier EXUP opening in my map.

However, You still got more narrow hedders than the full systems. I would perhaps start with the leaner of the two maps and stick with that. Maybe go for the Arrow map and add a couple of degrees ign advance above 10k? Hordboy have done a ton of these kind of testings, and I believe he went with the Arrow tune.

Good luck with Your work!

OK, I've bought the TuneBoy, got the key to make it work, now, the tune described for a stock standard Street Triple, which looks near as good as the Arrow.....where do I find it, please.

Also, are there any quirks to it, like having to use 95/98 octane fuel?

Sorry, Wayne havent published that tune yet. Please send an e-mail to Wayne or Emma and ask for the map and I'm sure they will make it avaliable. It should work with Your ordinary fuel. Please also write a note here when the map is published.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice I will go that route, however I need assistance...

I'm new to the entire Tuneboy thing and I've read at least 50 pages on this stuff. I want to get a great tune for the Jardine exhaust, I want to get Waynes Tune, then I heard about Undi tune and then the Madas tune? So I'm not sure which one to get, what I would like is smooth even power through out, with out stumbling issues at traffic lights. I also don't want to mess with O2 sensors or anything like that.

The one that look the best thus far was Waynes Jardine 20109_2 can anyone tell me what that dynoed at, cant find that information.

Thanks!

Michael

PS. I'd also prefer to not try tune after tune since I don't have a PC (Mac man here) and my friend (Warped) has to travel 100 miles to help me. Thanks again!

I am with you here, I just got the Jardine and haven't installed it yet. I am just looking for options on the tune myself. Currently I do not have a tuneboy, I was opting to just take it to my dealer and have a TOR map installed but like anything it's hard to get a clear answer on what works well and what doesn't. It always seems that no matter what product you buy someone thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread yet someone else will have nothing but problems. First off I am a street rider, I do not have any desires to race so I want a tune that will be streetable without the little quirks that might come along with a hotter tune.

TuneBoy/EXUP Question

Finally got round to connecting the bike to tuneboy, and noticed on the sensors page that exup position at idle shows 80%.

Pulled exup cover off and checked the actual valve position and it appeared to be at the correct 30% position.
It seems the ECU is using 50% as the fully closed pos. and adding the value to that. Is it possible (or advisable) to reset the fully closed position to 0%?

#37 · (Edited)
...exup position at idle shows 80%...
As You already noticed, the Tunboy sensor screen isnt using % when reporting the EXUP opening, it uses some other scale. The reset for the opening is done every time You turn ignition on as I've learned, and ECU is reporting an error if it fails to fine the start value.

@Red 675 and captainkidd: Most Jardine people seems to be very satisfied with Waynes Jardine-tune. You might want to try one other slip-on map just to compare the result for Yourself. Just supply Warped with enough sixpacks and I'm sure he'll wait for You doing Your test rides:nod:...

@Timberwolf. Congrats to the result at the strip as well as the exhaust project! I believe Your setup is the one most similar to Hordboys, and he seems most satisfied with the Arrow map as the starting point, maybe combined with a couple of degrees more ign advance at high throttle/RPM:s. If smoothness at roll off/on is of great importance for Your setup (which would surprise me), You could have a look at the L-tables from mine or Waynes Jardine-map to find some possible mods.

My 2p - Good luck to all of You!

#34 ·
finally broke into the 10s at the dragstrip without tuning the bike (beyond the arrow tune). Now it's time to get serious. I've read through all of this thread, but since noone is running a setup very similar to mine, I'd like to ask if anyone could recommend a good staring point for me.
I know I will still be doing my own tweaks based on what MY bike needs, but if I could get a better ball park to start with, it would make progress a little quicker and less frustrating.
so based on the mods in my sig, what would you recommend as a good starting map?

#39 ·
one thing I am running into is a dead spot when doing a quick tip-in off idle. I know that's not something we do often, but it does make me wonder what's going on in there to make it happen at all.
Basically, at idle, if you nail the throttle, it cuts out for a half second before taking off. if you smooth roll on from idle there's no problem.
like I said, this isn't a condition duplicated often on the street, but it does make me wonder...

any ideas?

This is one spot i struggled with when I started my map work. During every logging session, it always indicated too lean mixture in this area just after You "nail" the gas. But adding fuel didnt make the behaviour much better. However I believe the bike behave better after I adjusted the L-tables, and elimination of the O2-sensor (disables the closed loop-mode) as Wayne does in his Jardine-map might also contribute to the smoothness.

So my experience is that the problem can be reduced to a level where it isnt that noticeable with some changes in the map.

When using these maps are we supposed to disconnect the 02 sensor? Are we supossed to check box this or that?

Just to let you all know, I'm having so much trouble trying to even properly load the software and maps, I have so much time in dealing with this crap it is not worth it to me.

They are no instruction on how to load maps, I'm a Mac user so I'm used to things working as they should, typically on the first try, I can't even find simple things like the hard drive on my friends PC and she does not know either, it's pathetic but when we found it, it leads to a bunch of dead end files, amazing!

Anyway need sleep, so I take this up later. Oh what would be nice is some one could put a simple list of instruction on how to load software and maps, it so ass back wards.

@Red 675
Even if your Mac can run some windows files... the way Macs and Intel x86 systems talk to hardware is different and I doubt It will run properly
You should email Tuneboy and ask if there is a Windows emulator that will work on your Mac and run TuneEdit
OR boot with a Linux disk running a windows emu (might work?? never tried it myself)
OR borrow a Intel x86 based laptop [Windows] to load maps (best solution)

Re: the O2 sensor,
If the map file has it unticked its input will be ignored and there will be no closed loop mode,
if the sensor is still bolted into the pipe it may be damaged as the heater may be switched off, which may lead to permanent damage to the sensor.
If your using a map with it "unticked" physically remove it and plug the bung hole.
To quote Wayne from tuneboy...
"I would leave the O2 sensor disabled, it just causes problems"
(this is only relevant for people who run a full system or a slip on with a tuneboy non O2 map)

roffe_s:
Can you give a bit more info on how you tuned the L-tables? what you said in your last post is exactly the same trouble I am having running a full LV system.

Hi Baba.

To be absolutely sure about the changes, I would need to log the values from the MAP sensor also. However, I chose an easier way, just observing the values to get a grip of the behaviour. I increased the values in the RPM:s where the AF-log indicated too lean mixture and in the pressures at and below the idle manifold pressure.

After that, I have compared and modified my changes according to the L-values in the new TOR-tunes as well as the one Wayne did in his Jardine-map.

I could do some more work in the area of 1-6% TP according to the logs ( http://www.sporthoj.com/galleri/?do=visabild&id=70862 look at the 7.5-8 k rpm values, it is my remaining "snoring" area, a tad rich below 6k rpm and 5% TP) but as everything is working quite well at the moment I have decided to leave it for now.

I hope this might explain my changes, If You compare the maps You will find the modified areas.

Baba,

Thank you for responding to my post, it is greatly appreciated.

Worth noting is that I'm using a friends PC as noted in my original post. One of my issues is that I can't even get the software to load, however it did load fine a few days ago when I extracted the serial number information, as I mentioned above my friend can't even find the hard drive or download folder on her own PC so you can imagine how difficult this has been from there. The software loaded 3 short cuts on the desktop, however they no longer work and trying to find and use the programs has been a nightmare to say the least.

Also, I was unable to download the tune I wanted, but I was successful in downloading a alternate tune I did not want, how can that be? Seems I need to right click on the tune I wanted to make into a manageable file vs a page full of text, I did not know that. So in other words the tune I don't want downloads fine and the tune I want looks like 9 pages of text. It took my friend 20 minutes to find the file on her computer.

As far as the 02 sensor, I prefer to use a tune that does not require unpluging or removing the 02 sensor. I started by unplugging it but have since plugged it back in with the hopes of finding a tune that it can remain plugged in.

Not sure what is going on with instructions but I find there are none that I've found to be of any real value. What is there is a mess, hard to understand and not user friendly.

Lastly, I have no plans of changing tables or any thing like that, I just want to upload a tune to my 675 and ride, as for now I have an error light and can't load the software to turn it off and I think I need to reset apdations or something like that as well.

Thanks for listening.

Michael

Hi Michael.

The Jardine map from Tuneboy is tricky saved on their site. If You right-click and choose "save target as..." it will work better and You may place the file whereever You like on the HDD or the desktop (so You can find it from TuneEdit).

If You want to use the Jardine-map with the o2, You have to start TuneEdit, open the map, choose menu "edit - tune constants", mark the box "o2 sensor fitted" and save the file with a new name before downloading it to ECU.

TOR map, Undiis map as well as my maps may be used without any changes to the O2 sensor box.

If the map cannot be downloaded to ECU, You might have a problem with the wait time settings under "options - properties". It depends on how fast the PC is, for me a setting between 15 and 20 seems to work. As You experience so much trouble, I recommend You to choose the alternative "options - slow download mode" instead of messing with the wait time settings.

Good luck Michael, I hope this might be of some help to You.
