Ok. that makes sense. My Springfield Operator came with a bull barrel....before I installed one that would support an accessory

Got a Colt Combat Elite. Not allowed in the UK so I can only use in when I'm at my place in Spain where I had to sit a two day course before I gor my FAC.

Your Operator looks stealth with the silencer. What is the make of your grips? This grip tape textures must be effective, I bet. Is that a Smith & Alexander mainspring housing with a magwell?

The K31 is one fine rifle, you can find them here in quantities, surplus pieces are abundant as well. This is a good source http://www.swissdagger.com
It is a bit hefty but the guy has some rare piece.
Right now, I am looking for a sniper K31 and/or a Mosin Nagant M44.

The TRP Operator is stock save for barrel, bushing, guide rod and plug. oh and Ed Brown extended mag release..... .050 of an inch really makes a difference.
These options came stock, sort of a "Custom" right out of the box.(list taken from the Springfield custom shop order form)

1. Install TRP barrel & bushing (bull barrel system in pistols shorter than 5”)
2. Factory skeletonized delta hammer
3. Low mount Novak style rear sight with tritium inserts mine came with adjustable tritium sights
4. Dovetail front sight with tritium dot insert (Dovetail & tritium insert not available on ported V10 handguns)
5. Extended ambidextrous thumb safety
6. Beavertail grip safety
7. Adjustable lightweight aluminum trigger
8. Full length guide rod with heavy duty recoil spring
9. Flat checkered mainspring housing
10. Polished feed ramp; throated barrel
11. Tune & polish extractor
12. Deburr pistol internally
13. Standard carry bevel sharp edges of pistol
14. Machine checker front strap, 20LPI
15. Tune trigger pull to 4.5 lb
16. Front cocking serrations (Optional - no price reduction if not done)
17. Refinish as needed (carbon steel pistols-Armory Kote™; stainless steel-satin finish)

-"grit grips" I like them, most people don't. They are starting to lose some of the grit at the corners, but still holding up fairly well.

and the straight pull action of the K31 is neat as hell.

This isn't good... I'm starting to piece an AR-15 build now. This should be fun and interesting at the same time, I will post pictures once I start getting parts.

They're not too bad to put together. Well documented procedure over on other forums. And between jsesurplus and cheaperthandirt, you can make a pretty nice one for cheap. I'd recommend an upgraded grip (I really like Stark grips over at rainierarms), and the friction locks on the magpul stocks are nice, assuming you go the m4 style. Magpul handguards are nice too, but I'd recommend a free float setup if you're looking for accuracy.
