Questionable chain movement....

I was just washing my bike and decided to put it up on a rear wheel stand, start it up and put it in gear to get some water off of the wheel and chain. Well, i noticed that the chain moved in an unsafe manner and it has me worried a bit. I will attack a YouTube clip below.

This can't be normal, can it? Is it a chain adjustment issue (too much slack)? Or an alignment issue between front and rear sprockets? Or both....

You have no load on the wheel....

Heh I wasn't checking for slack, just an observation I made while cleaning my bike that got me pondering a bit. :nerd2:

Thanks for all the replies, fellas.

Looks to be a little loose but the jumping is caused by stretching of the chain in some areas. It's normal for the chain to be looser in some areas and you should adjust it to the specified tension on the tightest area. It does not look excessive but if you get time I'd measure the slack personally.
