American Suzuki Files Bankruptcy

In a long predicted move, American Suzuki filed chapter 11 bankruptcy today in California. Suzuki announced via press release that they intend to stop selling automobiles in the the US.
Suzuki will continue to sell motorcycles and ATVs in the US.
A lot of people do not realize most companies like this do not just start making cars when they come to the US, Suzuki is a large maker over in China and many Asian countries. Econ 101 does not teach you that.
Kia before Hyundai bought them, used to just re badge Fords hence why their emblem is the shape that it is and had hardly any business in the US, but now look at them. They out sell a lot of cars especially this year and I imagine the future coming years if they keep up with quality over income.
Except for Suzuki is one of the largest auto importers to China. This is why VW bought into them so that they had a foothold on the large auto market in the world. They make a good car they just don't know how to market to the American market.
Remember American Suzuki is just the importer of Suzuki's in the USA; so this just means they'll stop importing Suzuki cars, not that they will stop being made.
It also means, that they will continue to import some motorcycles and ATV's (they have never brought all their models here anyway).
