I received my new watsen turn signals a few days ago and I got them installed yesterday - on the left hand side, it's a massive pain. there's a metal grill that looks to be some type of electronics cooler and the old turn signal just screws in through a clip on a metal frame that attaches the cooler to the fairing. The Watsen won't work that way. I had to take the fairing off completely, remove the cooler and the metal frame it attaches too and drill a hole big enough for a standard 7mm socket to fit through.
Note that this is not the only way to get the nuts on the bolt to attach the watsen, but after struggling for a good hour, I went this way.
anyways, I have them installed but I've run in to a problem: the right turn signal works (kind of) - if I turn it on and off repeatedly, it will usually go on. If I turn the left turn signal on it doesn't work at all. The knee jerk reaction is to assume the watsen is broken, and it may very well be, but I've replaced the rear turn signals with rizomas when I installed the Werkes LTD fender eliminator and I didn't put on the resistors that Rizoma included. I'm wondering if this could be related or if it's unrelated and it's just the watsen that's broken.
