I've been riding the Flux MK2 linkage plates on the road for about a week now and they definitely make the bike more settled in the bumps. Much nicer to ride now.
Did a track day on Monday and they were a huge difference. The bike seemed so much more planted and stable around corners. The bumps don't feel anywhere near as big as they used to.
Overall, a mod that I'm really, really happy with.
How is the seat height effected by these? I notice you have shims for sale to retain stock ride height so was just wondering how much they actually effect it without the shims?
You can install the plates and not adjust the rear ride height back to standard if you wish, it will make the bike more stable but, slower to turn.
It will lower the rear of the bike between 18 and 22mm, different people have reported differing amounts but all seem to be between 18 and 22mm.
If you like the lower ride height you could also drop the front ride height by extending the fork a bit further through the Triple Clamps and this will bring the bike back to a simular geometry but, beware you can only go so far before the front wheel will hit the radiator when you break hard or hit a pot hole.
I found when I fitted the plates that I needed to adjust my rider sag about 10mm to get it back to where it was before and I also had to adjust my compression damping up 2 clicks on my Nitron shock, which by the way has more adjustability than the standard shock.

if i wanted to keep the rear lowered like it is after install, could i lower the front from the front preload i think thats what its called or do i have to bring the forks up a little bit like you said. im a little short so the little amount that it does lower it will be enough for me to be comfortable.

I would put the fork through a bit because you want to keep the forks near the middle of the travel for best damping and control, also you will run the risk off bottom the forks out if you run too little pre-load but, you could go with a combination of both to get the desired ride height. Try about 40mm front static sag (Bikes own weight) at the most.
I would imagine you would also need to adjust the comp and rebound settings. After all this mod will effect the rate at which the rear end compresses and extends when compared to stock. If you have set the dampening to suit the old link, its probably going to need tweaking once these are installed.
Ill be taking it to my friends shop, he'll help me with install and setup. Just wanted to know info so I can explain to him so he can set it up better for my style. Ive been riding this bike for about 2 years now and still something just feels a little off. Already got it setup to my weight but feel there could be a little tweaking to make it that much better. My friend knows what hes doing but just wanted to learn how what effects what. Thanks for great info and sorry for thread jacking. So who gonna purchase these awesome plates?
Just got my plates and shims in the post, nice work, well made and nicely finished.....now to play a bit. Also you should feel proud, your instruction sheet is at least as good as anything from within a Triumph Race Parts package. You just forgot to put in the bit about disconnecting the battery before you start.
After 3 Track Days with these plates on I'm thoroughly convinced they are an outstanding value for money mod.
The bike has much better general feel and grip, and is definitely more stable and predictable in fast turns.
I'm not exactly sure what the rate is on these. I just know that the rate is far more linear than the stock plates. Flux was the designer of these and published a great deal of info on this site.
Sorry for the slow reply. The plates are still available. I'm just finishing another batch of 10 sets which should be ready to go by Monday.
