I installed the rest of my frame sliders from motovation. Got the front, rear and engine ones done... and did the rim tape yesterday :)

Installed Renthal street low 765mm handlebars and works great. It is 45mm wider and more straight and now the manouvering is much easier especially in city and bad road. Also looks good and full front section and ergonomics feel like full size bike. I think stock bars are like compromise between straight and clip-on type. Some re-routing for cables and brake hose was necessary, nothing difficult, but 765mm seem max w/o bigger changes. Rizoma bar ends are to be ordered. Next step will be saddle modification with local specialist.

SOON.

About to get started with unnecessarily tricking out my Striple. Way too many parts sitting around that I gotta start getting installed. I'm hoping to at least get those trick lever guards on tomorrow.

FAR Viper mirrors installed. I didn't have time to take them out for a ride but the mirrors are plenty big and the adjustment point is really solid and surprisingly flexible. I got a bolt to go into the stock threaded bar insert and used a spacer to make them sit nicely, but I'm thinking I might just get a hollow bar to have a more solid attachment point, I'll see how this one works out though.

Haha, that's fair. They're definitely a lot heftier than the ones for the Dragster are. I'm thinking that with black levers and maybe some lower bars it would all blend in a bit nicer... But for now I'm promising myself to not order any more bling until I get the stockpile that is building up installed (Quickshifter, Exhaust, Suspension, and some stock replacement parts to fix up damage caused by previous owner).

As far as actual mirrors though they seem like they'll be excellent. Due to being mounted at the front they're in a nicer location than typical bar end mirrors.

those mirrors look awesome but that's a lot of bulk, still look awesome as fk

it reminds me of the mirrors on the hypermotards.

Just made mine non street legal. Races this Saturday and Sunday! So excited. Got her all prepped and stripped down. My third weekend at this track and second on Trinity.
Are the headlights difficult to take off? I may do that instead of taping them next time.

The other thing is that I don't have the flyscreen, so I don't know how much additional buffeting I would have to deal with.

I taped mine up last time, but after seeing @MacBandit post about it I thought I'd give it a try. Took all of 5 minutes maybe for both. The wires unplug up under my flyscreen (just follow them to the display since I don't remember where they connect without the screen) and there's one nut on the bottom of each to unscrew. Just don't forget the little washer on top of the mount where the bolt goes through. I missed those at first until I was sitting on the bike looking down.

Quicker than taping them, and one less thing to get damaged if the bike goes down. Not to mention a little less weight.

Now getting the angle right when I put them back on...

@Grazzo that's a good looking bike. I'm thinking if I repaint mine, I'll do it that same matte black.
i was about to say same thing... but change my mind when i think about the scrach when the tankbag is on... on a black flat it's scraching easily....

A bit late because it was last weekend but I got rid of the chicken strips on my new Q3's on Tracy Rd in upstate NY. :grin2:

Pic was in the first couple of easy corners where my buddy set up with the camera. Got lower on the tires than every other bike I was with. Love this thing!

Threw on a Sargent seat, SC Project exhaust, and got a nice few hours of saddle time in. It was my first long ride with the Far Viper mirrors as well.

Seat is amazing. Exhaust sounds amazing. Mirrors work amazingly.
