Testing in Aragon went quite well for the new Yamaha.
"Although the Pata Yamaha team didn't release any lap times, Alex Lowes stated that he ran his "best ever lap around" the Spanish circuit, showing that he's getting along well with the new R1."
Would love to see if Chaz can keep up his performance, Figure he is on the best "Production" sportbike to grace this God given earth as a starting point.
Not getting to optimistic about Hayden, as no info was given on the tire he used for his "fast lap".. most likely a qualifier.
OK not sure if anyone has seen this, BUT they totally screwed up WSBK race weekend In My Opinion..
Now they are going to race WSBK once on Saturday & once on Sunday. I can understand them trying to keep the people who are spending money there and maybe get the support clases, Superstock 600, 1000 and ninja cup? more face time.. But damn Kills it for wanting one fun filled day of WSBK.
This will also bring an end to the whole 2nd race, REDEMPTION chance on the same day under typically the same conditions as race 1.
Yeah it will be a shame that we dont get our fix all at once. I bet race 2 will still be just as crazy tho. 2016 is going to be nutz! So many fast blokes out there its gonna be a riot to watch.. not too mention the bikes and their advancements..
Not to sure, I actually pay for the subscription so i can watch it live or catch it after it airs with all the other support racing, in particular 1000 superstock.
Nice pic Real, to bad there is those god awfull ugly kawi's in it.
I bought the video pass from WSBK on their homepage..It is like $100 and you can watch every race live, qualifying etc etc.. I typically live stream it as the race is going on, or you can watch it after the fact. No commercials, breaks in racing etc etc..
I finally got the chance to sit and watch the race at Phillip Island. Good race for the most part. The Kawi boys were doing work but I think Tom Sykes needs to find his inner-peace with his machine! Sucks about Chaz. I like the way he rides but it was was his own un-doing in the end. Van der Mark is a talent to reckon with! Lastly, it's great to see Nicky Hayden finish inside the top 5!
Sykes, is not your typical British rider...If you pass him, bump him, get all up in his grill he loses focus QUICK!... been his problem his whole WSBK career.
Chaz for sure had 2nd place AGAIN. Thought it was a bit out of character for him to go for it all in that corner, but if he doesn't press on Rhea this year is going to be a repeat of last year. Now he is way down on points :crying:
Hayden will actually a win a race i predict... Something he has not done in what 9 years?
The WSS was indeed pretty intense, especially the last 6 or so laps. Haven't got around to watching the super bikes yet but from the sounds of it, skip race 1!?
Cluzel has that F3 ripping! And so many MVs finishing in the top ten in Supersport.
What a nice ride from America PJ Jacobson on the Honda. Great battle with the Kwakis.
I thought race 1 of Superbike was worth watching.
I'm just getting around to watching race 2 now.
I like what Jacobson is doing on the Honda. It was a good WSS race. Race one was pretty good but race two was way better! Nicky in top 5 and looks like someone told Sykes to grow a pair after race 1! Chaz had a good race but he's obviously down on power in the straights.
I do question Sykes' swerve he does when taking some corners. If I remember, it's on turn 6 where he swerved right, comes left and then turns right on 6. I assume he's swerving right to block but it seems very aggressive and really dangerous. Is it just me who thinks that or no?
can one of you guys provide a sort-of story arc to this season? I want to follow WSBK and MOTOGP but without watching each race, I feel I have no idea what's going on.
from what I understand, the Kawis dominate WSBK, right? that interests me especially since it looks like those 'superior' BMWs are in the mix, too. what's the story there?
also, is there a preferred website that covers all of this?

What's the point in following the races if you don't watch them?
Lucky for you, I'm bored:
Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes are on Kawis--Rea is the favorite to win the championship and the Kawis appear to be the fastest bikes.
Nicky Hayden is no longer in motogp and is now riding for Honda. He's already in the top 5 and will be a podium contender, but Michael Van der Mark is faster (at least for now). No one thought Honda would be very competitive without a new bike, but they may have made some tuning mods that have helped.
Davies on the Ducati is fast but held back by less power on the straights.
Yamaha is back in WSB but not near podium contention.
