hi, new 675R, rode 150 miles, tried to keep the rpm at 5 to 6K and vary but Idk if I can keep below 8000 until 1000 miles... lol,
how critical is the break in process ? also, I was thinking of changing the engine oil at 500 miles initially.... what oil you guys recommend ? is synthetic ok as far as clutch ?
also, the throttle had a lot of play in it so the bike lurches when I gas it.... is the adjustment in the bottom at the throttle body area, not at the actual throttle area on top ?

Break in is important seeing that you only get one opportunity to do it. It helps the valves seat correctly and other engine components to ensure the longevity of the engine. I would do your best to adhere to the policies in the manual although some believe there are other ways to break in the engine. I followed the procedure to a "T" and my bike has been a pleasure to own and operate. You should have a 1st service done at the dealership around 600 miles and they will change the oil and inspect other parts around the bike. After that you are good to go with synthetic oil. Mention the throttle cable to the techs when you go to get the first service done. You should be good to go! Enjoy!

Easiest way is the inline cable adjuster at the top.
Slide rubber boot back and use 8 and 10 mm wrenches to unlock the lock nut.
