Replaced battery as per manual. Cranks and continues to run, but with CEL on and in limp mode. No code shown. Would love to know what I could've fried, or if there's a reset procedure I need to know...
Stock battery was done after three years, thought I'd shed some weight. I've been injured and not riding for a few months so the bike has been sitting a little while. Baffled by this one.
Is it a Daytona? If so my guess is that the EXUP is stuck or out of adjustment. Sometimes this can happen if they're left to sit. Something worth trying is a 12 minute tune. Do a search if you don't know what it is. Anytime you disconnect the battery it's good to do a 12 minute tune. Also if the cause of the CEL was momentary it will go out after 3 engine heat cycles.
Appreciate the help. I haven't heard of a 12 minute tune before. I'll give it a shot. As far as the EXUP goes-I guess I'll just have to get that exhaust system I've been wanting and get rid of it altogether
