Hello, I dont see a build thread section but I always enjoy having a build thread for my projects just to see the progress and track when and what ive done to the bike. So here goes nothing Picked up the bike August 30th a few days ago and ill post some pictures showing its current progress.
Mods done so far, tech spec tank grip, motodynamics sequential led tail light, and compeition werekes fender eliminator. The bike already came with the side tank grip pads but I will be replacing thsoe with tech specs. Other than the tank side tank protectors the bike came 100% stock and was a one owner immaculate bike!
And that leads me to today when I installed my motodynamics tail light and compeition werkes fender eliminator! Alot has happened in 3 days since I purchased this bike, its been raining every single day besides day of purchase but I still put 500-600 miles on it!
Nah I like to mod things alot so I will have a bunch of stuff done to it, not sure where the build will go but I plan on making it into a nice street driven and track driven motorcycle. I will be buying alot more for this in the next upcoming weeks and trying to find nice days to ride it!
On way home from work riding up my driveway I realized that this is a one time opportunity to get some really cool pics since ive never seen anything like this! The mist in the air was unreal and the fog was worst ive ever seen. In a 5 minute ride home I had water dripping off me. Couldnt even have my visor down because it was soaked. Ran up to grab my camera made for some really cool pics had less than a 5 minute window before the light started to creep up close to the horizon.
Got these on it today, not many people post to much so I will edit these just so I dont keep bumping my thread to top if no one wants to see haha. I like this build threads to look back on so I will keep updating even if people dont care
New bag figured I would go test it out on a little short trip with no destination or direction just went wherever felt right.
Went down some dirt and gravel roads to see if I could find a way to this large rock ledge ontop of a mountain overlooking a river, ended up not being able to because it turned into offroad vehical only terrain :/ A bmw GS650/700 would of been perfect.
Continued on to find this nice overlook, there was a nice house on the edge and not much else around, I was glad I came across it.
After a nice relaxing trip I figured id stop for some food along the allegheny river.
Heated grips installed! Oxford grips are awesome but ive read they have quality issues after a year of using, my right is amazing and my left does not even work. I will get a new one under warranty but its still kinda frustrating.
Started out this trip by myself for first 650 miles in 2 days. Then few friends joined up with me. Total 1200 miles throughout west virginia seeing some of the most beautiful things ive ever seen! Rode 2-3 hours total on the worst dirt/rock/gravel road ive ever seen and even managed to drop my bike when trying to turn around since I couldnt get up hill without back tire spinning, managed to finally make it to dolly sods though after finding a shorter path equally as shitty. Amazing weekend bought GB racing protection full kit and flush mount turn signals + new mirror and thatll fix 98% of the damage. The rear tail section has a minor scratch and thats it. 1mph drop oh well.
Christmas present to myself, ohlins ttx shock from ridersdiscount, absolutely amazing service and price. Resprung for my weight, 150lb without gear. Oh and a CF rear mud gaurd.
