Hey guys, still quite a noob to the Daytona but I have a track day coming up in a week and recently got a hold of some second hard Sharkskin race fairings. The previous owner of my second gen had the R&R recall done and mounted the rectifier underneath the right infill cover, help by the a screw in the nose which also secures the infill cover.
For the track fairing, would some very strong velcro be sufficient? Or would the temp of the rectifier cause it to lose its hold? Or should I just still a hole and reuse the same screw.
I made a bracket out of angle aluminum and fastened the r/r to the headlight bracket. Sorry for the sideways pic. Cell phone uploads are weird sometimes
I mounted mine inside the on the flat directly above the fender on the inside of the fairing. I would not trust velcro. 2 bolts, washers, and Nyloc Nuts.

I used 3m double sided foam tape rated for outdoor and I believe up to 50 pounds. RR stayed put even when the bike was doing backflips down the track.
