Do guys use a different weight oil other then what is recommended in the owners manual for your race bike? My engine is stock but as a race bike we are always in the higher RPM's.
I tried finding something in the forum search but nothing popped up so figured I would ask.
Find a post by Doublen675 and read 'all about oil' from the link in his sig.
As a result of reading from that thread, I started running truck oil in my 675 at the track. Now I've been racing my SV for ages...also running truck oil. Love the stuff.
I use the blood of baby seals mixed with my own urine.
Seriously though any oil works, whatever you are using now works. These bikes are made to race, so why would they say use an oil weight that would not work on the track?
Mobil 1 4T Racing. Two full race seasons plus 3 track seasons using the same stuff, no issues. Plus one very dependable 675.. which I am currently missing very much. =(

Man I wish I could test it before you do but the season is over here and the bike will be in winter storage before I know it! So I guess I will be waiting on your results.
I run the Maxima full synthetic if that helps, I also use Spectro Platinum 4.
