Hi all
I posted this on r/triumph but didn't get many responses, so i'm trying here!
I recently bought an 09 Street triple, standard version, and I'm loving it. I noticed the suspension was stiff so I went online to read up on it. It seems like a lot of people switch the rear shock for a cbr600rr/daytona/custom one, and the front forks for ones off a daytona or something else.
Is the suspension really that bad? I saw a video by dave moss where he "evaluates" the sag on an 08 striple, and he ends the video by saying that it's dangerous to ride that bike if you weigh 200lbs+. I'm 245lb so that caught my attention.
I only have a few thousand miles of riding under my belt. I mainly use the bike to commute and ride around back roads as time allows. I'm still very far from actually riding this bike to its limits. So how necessary is it to replace the rear shock or the forks?
I don't know anything about suspension at all, can someone enlighten me here??
