Sprocket wear

I was going over my bike for a group ride tomorrow and it is about a 300 mile ride. I need a new chain and sprockets. So should I pass on the ride or think I can squeak by? I would not want to inconvenience anyone else or myself.

Also, any steel sprockets anyone recommend? I got 18k miles out of my sprocket specialists hardened aluminum sprockets but want some more life. The chain is still good.

I replaced my stock sprockets at 22,xxx miles and they looked brand new. I'm using Driven sprockets now and they seem fine and no signs of wear yet. Your sprocket is pretty rough looking my friend and your chain needs some love. It's hard to say if you should ride with that sprocket like that, I personally wouldn't.

I passed on the ride. I didn't want it on my mind the entire ride. I ordered a gold and black MVXZ EK 520 chain. Black steel Driven Sprocket and front.

Oddly, the sprocket wore pretty quickly the last 500 miles. Not too tight or loose. Ehh well steel is the way for me.
