I started my daily driver build a couple of days ago and thought I could share.
I am a fan of what Flux did on his Bare knuckle project this is why I bought
a 2010 Street Triple R 3 month ago.

This is the only stock picture I have.

Lets see how light I can make this bike.
I'll focus first on rotating masses and areas that are far from the CG.

I got the rear wheel all mounted today:

Thanks and yes. as soon as everything works properly i will send it to be machined out of 6061 aluminum.
Awesome build, very unique. It's even better that you did the work yourself instead of buying it. I'll have to show all the guys here.
Thanks. I usually have to build the parts myself because it does not exist yet

Progress is slow.
I am gathering parts to improve braking:

R6 monoblock calipers (light and stiff)
Brembo 19 RCS Master cylinder

I still need to order spacers and custom brake lines.

I am preparing something special for the rear.

It is that time of the year again.
The bike is back in the garage after a long summer of riding.

My first project this fall a one 50mm projector conversion.
It weight 300g and is E marked.

I will relocate the Dash with the Motodemic relocation kit.

From the front:

And the side with the Lexan mask:

I still need to find a way to fix the mask properly (now only mocked up with tape.)

Voila!!! I saved almost 2kg from the front end.

More coming soon.

Man, I love this project. Very very nice work so far.

I've been trying to decide what to do for a headlight on my Striple for a while and i really like that one minimal one. Since it could theoretically block some airflow (but then again the Striple has a screen that blocks a ton), take a look at how they mounted the light on this build. Just an idea!

I love that tail. I've been wanting to figure out how to fab up a custom short tail (inspired by the MV Agusta Dragster I'm afraid). That's a really clean look. The bike looks mean as hell.

I do not know yet.
I have not weigh the bike really and there is more savings to come.
How does that little battery work for a bike?!!!
I have the battery for more than a year now and it starts every time even after not using the bike for more than 2 weeks.

Wow, truly amazing build. I've never been one for the street-fighter look, but this one has me rethinking it! Great job!
Thanks Itskohler the Streetfighter look will be gone and replaced by a "TrackFighter" look soon.
New seat, new tank, new fairings.

This is the look I am going for:

I had a little bit of time today to mock up what I was talking about in the previous post:

I think I like it.
The tank is an aluminum tank from Suzuki RMZ250 and the seat is a Tracker seat narrowed 5cm.
The tank has to be modified but weigh only 2kg.

I like the fact that the bike look and feel more and more like a dirtbike.
