Default Best Highway in America?

Here's a video of HWY 129 that runs from the TN to NC border, trully an epic road. Yes I have ridden it, my parents live 30 minutes from there. Video was shot by a local that runs his own business selling pics of riders, checkout his website at killboy.com

Enjoy:

Scott 0 you are correct it is crazy over patrolled. but considering during the peak of ridding season there are estimated to be at least 3-5 wrecks out there i consider it kind of justified. I rode it once when i lived up there on my old bike and have been really wanting to hit it with the D675 but traffic on the road is crazy and a butt load of cops

Riding before Memorial Day and after Labor Day on non-weekend days reduces your chances of getting a ticket by a huge amount. I'll be there from 5/22-5/29 with some guys from the Northeast.

I won't say it's the best highway in America, but definitely the most popular. Do to the cops and traffic I will not be returning this year. I found some other roads that I think are better without the con's of 129.

Cops are now on The Dragon 24/7, so it would be good for everyone to ride somewhere else.

Sounds like you don't want the rest of us to enjoy your backyard.....

Plus there are only a few places when the cops on the TN side can sit. If you take an easy ride on the first run up you'll see where they're sitting.

No, just kiddin'

However I do wish it were not so popular. There was a time when a person could go on a Saturday and have some good Dragon runs with no trouble. It's still possible now, but it's all about timing. I look forward to meeting and riding with other 675 riders here, but I don't look forward to the big crowds of tourist season.
