It was good to see you too. I'm sorry I didn't come hang out.
My buddy had a lowside on Saturday and needed some help, and on Sunday his charging system went out. No fun pushing a bike to bump start it in that heat!
I like that track too (except when I glance up and see Armco everywhere). I'm going back next month but may regret it - the heat really cooked my brain.

Me too on both counts. There were a few spots I was wishing for Air Fence and the heat kept my lap count pretty low which was ok.
This was our first really hot track this season and on Saturday I beat up the left side of a SC1 pretty bad. I checked with my Dave Moss disciple, Steve pallela and ended up adding 6 clicks of rebound.
I flipped the tire for sunday and it seemed to help. ( I'm doing the Moss school at ACC this weekend)
It is a very fun track.
See you there again someday.
Hey guys.
looking to do some track days in september-november.
where do i need to go to purchase days at ncm?
and is anyone else going back out this year. would be great to have someone to help through the first few track days
(im so damn excited)
Find a track day organization to ride with. They book the track and organize the day. You sign up with the track day organizer for the track/days you want.
Look at the gear and bike prep requirements on the organizer's website.
I'm going to STT's next Road Atlanta (8/15-16) and NCM (8/22-23) weekends. I may add a Barber weekend in the fall. Happy to pit with you and answer questions.
that answered my questions. thank you CJC
I will also be doing barber (maybe twice) and had looked at road atlanta, but i wont be going to track until sept-nov/dec.
i looked on the sit and see the organization has certain bike/gear requirments, does the track/ tracks have any on top of that? (would i need to go to NCM and look at their rules/ stuff separately?)
Also, does anyone have any other suggestions for track orgs to use. im not finding the dates i will need for some of the tracks ( i dont see NCM anywhere on stt for sept/oct)
It lists lots of orgs and the tracks they go to/dates. N2 Track Days is also good. I rode once with MCRA and they were good. I'm sure many of the others are too, but I don't have any direct knowledge.
RRW also publishes an annual track day directory that is handy.
I always check the requirements of the track I am headed to just in case, but I've never had to do anything more than what STT requires. Some tracks have noise restrictions, so if you have a loud exhaust bring the baffles in case you need to put them in (although I've never had to do that).
Barber is spectacular. You're going to love it. If you haven't already, check out the museum while you're there.
Sounds good. I'll have 3 weekends at NCM this season, but would be interested in adding Barber if you go there. I can't make the September Barber dates, but maybe could make the 10/17-18 weekend if it's not sold out.
Oops - looks like the 10/17 weekend at Barber doesn't have a novice class. Hopefully we can find a date that works. Maybe 10/31 weekend at Road Atlanta.
if i can get enough experience quickly i may get bumped to intermediate.
i will keep with some dates. what are the other dates you are going to ncm? looks like a great track and just a few hours away.
Thanks for the reminder Shamrock
I guess I better sit down shut up and eat some humble pie. Gonna come
Into this with the best attitude I can have
I'm just way too excited hhaha
This past year has been the best year of my life since I got on 2 wheels
I will be following up with several of you in prep for the upcoming fall track days
