Back in the day (2000-2003) I had my tag mounted in the OEM location, but I sanded the numbers a little bit and applied chain lube, dirt, and sand. You could not read that tag from 5 feet away let alone a few car lengths back with a camera. Funny thing is I never got popped for making it unreadable (even had a few cops directly behind me and actually expected that they would pull me over) and ran quite a few times and never had the cops stop by afterward to chat. But sadly I matured a wee bit and quit doing most (but not all) stupid shit that will get you locked up or killed.

Is the Sunshine state always looking to outdo everyone else with ridiculous stuff. When I thought that Illinois is going overboard, I see that they are trying to catch up to FL. FL should change their motto to "The Craziest State".

Catch up, no, the FL laws where put in place August of 2008 in response to a specific problem and are luckily now enforced with restraint on the part of most LEO's.

Sunshine state is trying to get rid of bad politics, scandals and Rick Scott and when we can wait this out things should improve. South Florida has become the transient state. Move in....move out these days. Northern Florida is much nicer.

Also I would like to add that I use a Sunpass transmitter on my bike in Miami on the turnpike but if you try and put it on your bike make sure to use decent adhesive or it will fly off. I am not sure if it will trigger in a backpack.
