Default Brake and shock changes

Hi all. Forgive me if this has already been posted 100 times but I haven't had any luck finding it. A fellow track day street triple rider at Mallala last month told me about front break master cylinder change for one of a gixer, and rear shock change for a cbr 600 which both helped the bikes handling. But I can't remember the years of the bikes he said to change parts with(or the guys name). Is anybody able to she'd some light on this one for me. Cheers

I can't comment on the master cylinder, I've never really looked into it.

Assuming you have a street triple based on your post and that it is not an 'R', there are other easier options like swapping to a 09+ Daytona rear shock.
