Default Daytona 6k maintenance cost and details

Hey everyone
Have been looking for recent info but can't find much on the 6k service. Around how much did you pay and did it include the throttle body balance? Thanks, just want to be informed when I start calling dealerships around.

Varies wildly, by region and dealer.

You don't really have to do much around the 6K mark.

Change oil/filter, Coolant, Air filter, maybe check spark plugs. Could do it yourself for $150 and your time.

The bigger service is at 12K miles.

$750 for a minor service? Whoa that sounds way too much.

I got my 10k km (6k mile) service done today. Cost me $350 (2*$120 labour) the guy fully went over everything and checked it, even cleaned my chain, and I was going to do that this weekend when I intend to give it a well deserved clean over.

I doubt they would do a throttle adjustment already, not sure whats involved. Your manual book will outline what should be done at each service anyway, so check that.

According to the service manual, the 6k service consists of:

Engine oil cooler - check for leaks
Engine oil - renew
Engine oil filter - renew
Engine ECM - check for stored DTCs (codes)
Spark plugs - check
Throttle bodies - balance
Throttle cables - check/adjust
Cooling system - check fo rleaks
Coolant level - check/adjust
Fuel system - check for leaks
Lights, instruments & electrical systems - check
Steering - check for free operation
Headstock bearings - check/adjust
Forks - check for leaks/smooth operation
Brake fluid levels - check
Brake pad wear - check
Brake master cylinders - check for oil leaks
Brake calipers - check for leaks and seized pistons
Drive chain slack - check/adjust
Drive rubbing strip - check
Fasteners - inspect visually for security
Wheels - inspect for damage
Tyre wear/tyre damage - check
Tyre pressures - check/adjust
Clutch cable - check/adjust
Stand - check operation

So, on that list, the only thing that might be tricky, is to balance the throttle bodies. I copied the photos of the manual from the balancing section for you
