i really really really dislike it. Glad i have my 2012. Only thing that i appreciate or like about it is the new slightly angular tank. Everything else doesn't seem to fit to me. Each to their own though. Looking forward to seeing some people around here pick one up and turn it around ;)

Confirmed for first forum member with a 2013, haha.
Honestly I didn't even think they were out yet. Looks nice! I honestly like the redesign even though I still think the red radiator guard is a bit much. Congratulations on the new bike!

ABS is not available in Oz until Jan. I believe that all US Striples will be sold with ABS. If that's true, perhaps that's why Australia unusually has a bike available before America. Just a thought.
You can be grateful that the price in USA is way cheaper than I paid in Sydney. |

New bike and your summer is just starting too. Doesn't get much better than that. Your bike looks better in this pic than most I have seen. I am really toying with trading in my 2012 for a 2013. I am wondering if the electronic systems (anti-lock and stability control, I think) would have prevented my off last July. I am also thinking of selling it to get some ammo and a AR-15 with all the goodies while I still can.....someone talk me out of it!!!

You'll be glad to know that the massive extra mud guard was removed on the first night I owned the bike. Australian Design Rules (ADR) impose things like that, just like those extra reflectors you see in some countries. It didn't last long but I have to keep it because the cops can bust you for not having it in place if they want to get petty.
