Went out for a 3 hour mountain ride (on Saturday) before the temps dropped and the snow rolled in. It was in the mid F*20s most of the ride, but it was sunny and beautiful. Unfortunately, we got 4"+ of snow on Sunday, so I won't be taking the Daytona out for a few weeks. Thankfully, I have my SF848 parked 4 hours away in New Mexico so I can still get my fix.
Well this weekend i'll be going down and beginning my tear down of the bike for the winter. Replacing rear wheel bearings, chain, sprocket, brake pads, and brake fluid.
Still gotta change my air filter, spark plugs, and a couple other small things as well before the new season starts!
Installed some Bohemian Racing rearset (if you don't know they are identical to the Sato Racing). Only thing that didn't fit is 100% my fault. I got them off ebay for the D675 & not the D675R so the shift rod is too long to fit the q/s. Im trying to scavenge up one short enough to fit, but if not Sato has one in stock in Cali... Should be able to have it by Friday if I order today. Other then that they feel, fit, and look great! Once I get it all together with the q/s Ill post some pics.
I already ordered the one from Sato. I was gonna get the Dynojet, but its 135mm and I couldnt find how short you could cut it. Didnt want to waste the time & money if it wouldnt fit and it was only $32 shipped from sato for the D675R shift rod
Yanked the wheels to get new Dunlop NTec slicks tomorrow, cleaned the calipers and pads, cleaned & lubed the chain, cleaned and re-oiled the MWR HE air filter.
Just received my parcel Riders Discount, big thanks to TJ, package contents, Comp Werkes/CF dual slip on, Comp Werkes LTD fender eliminator, Lightech chain adjusters, can't wait to fit the goodies this weekend.
I adjusted my Danmoto clipons... and now I have a check engine light on out of nowhere. I did move the brake resivoir and need to rebleed it and removed the plug in where the turn signal plug goes. Other than that everything stayed the same.
Anyone have any ideas?
Whenever you're free, if you want you can swing by my house. I can hook it up to ecutune and see what that light is. I live off of 1604 & potranco about 2 miles outside the loop. Just PM me & I can give you my address.
Cleaned the hell out of it to get rid of the sawdust, and put most of the street stuff back on. Still need turn signals, cockpit infill panels and passenger pegs.
