Anodised Foot Pegs

Hi All,

The clear coat on my foot pegs has started to look really bad, so I was thinking about getting them anodised black, has anyone done this or seen it done?

I'm not too sure how it will look, so I don't want to do it and have my pegs look terrible. I would just go rearsets, but they are quite expensive over here and I dont get any track time to make them worthwhile.

Cheers,
Marty

Never seen somebody anodize them black, but me and quite a few other people had ours powdercoated black.
(Left the "spikes" stock color so that I wouldn't have to worry about redoing them once a year.

Ah cool, that looks really good. The thought with anodising was that the powder coating would take away the 'points' on the pegs so I wouldn't get the same grip, but it still looks good with them left plain and the rest done.

i was told anodizing would wear off really fast on something like foot pegs.

Yeah man I love it!

Another option for you is to just buy a set of aftermarket foot pegs and bolt them up to your stock rearsets.

Anodizing doesn't wear off because it changes the color fairly deeply.

However in small batches it's REALLY expensive, to the point it'd be cheaper getting new rearsets.
