There’s no denying that the Elias 2 design looks great, and quality of Shoei’s finish is, as always, top-notch.

I have this lid, and while tj gve me an AWESOME deal on it, this is even better!

And the helmet is simply beautiful. Its so nice I didn't want to mount any of my sticky mounts for my camera to it, so I mounted them on my older helmet and use that when I want to get shots from my helmet lol.
Everyone in the paddock compliments my helmet at every trackday. You won't go wrong with this deal.

The helmet is built extremely well. Hardly any wind noise, I wear ear plugs, but when I've ridden without them its still a really quiet helmet, especially considering all the ventilation on it. And pretty much zero headshake at high speeds, 150+ mph down the back straight at road atlanta and my head was stable as could be while in a tuck.

$800 lid for half the price.

Helmets, and other safety gear is all about being prepared for the “what-ifs”, which is why Shoei incorporates their Emergency Quick Release System (EQRS) into the X-12. This is a set of tabs that allow emergency personnel to quickly and easily detach the cheek pads and remove the helmet without putting any strain on the neck of a rider that could possibly be injured.
