I've bought mine I full. And only sell in full when it's time to sell. Gives me peace of mind and saves me from the hassle of stressing over payments.

This however does cause a tendency in me to change out bikes more often than my clothes.

Still paying on my bike but got a great interest rate (2%). Living in Tennessee I have weeks that are cold not months. And my bike is new to me and bone stock but I have ALOT of parts in transit! Won't be stock for long...

Paid off in 17 months. Had a good rate and was saving up my cash for a house.

When I sold my last bike, the buyer paid $4700 in an assortment of 100s, 50s, and 20s. The best part was when he went to get the money crom his car, he said jokingly "let me get my drug money stash." I've never seen that nosey neighbor of mine ever move so fast to go back inside and look out the window.

I bough my 08 Daytona used in February of 2011. I paid cash for it. Half of the money I saved up and the other half I took a loan out of my 401k. So yeah i paid 4.5% interest on that loan but every penny of that interest goes back into my account. All they charged me was $75 dollar processing fee. That's the way to go only if he stock market is not doing too good.

I've paid for all my bikes, as well as my car, in cash up front. I'm not a fan of interest (coupled with depreciation it's a double whammy of loss) and I don't like the idea of committing to something and then having conditions change. I also know more than I'd care to admit about secured credit (J.D. background) and trust me, the rules are all skewed heavily in favor of the banks/creditors. If I can't pay for it I don't buy it.
