Default question about the 1050 throttle tube mod

When ordering a 1050 throttle tube for my '12 str, does it matter if its for the regular 1050 or the r? Or are they the same?

I think they are all the same. But to be on the safe side get the one from the regular speed triple 1050. That's what I have on my STR.

Same here. I ended up ordering one last week, now I'm impatiently waiting.

Hopefully bikebandit comes through.

Personally if you are only riding street then I really don't see the point.

Ugh. In that case, why even have a sport bike? A ST3 isn't a necessity for any of us. Nor is it the most practical bike in the world.

I notice a difference when going WOT. It's not a major difference, but I like it. That's the point. Also, it's nice not having to have my wrist cranked so far back when I do go WOT.

1050 mod was a bit of a PITA for me. I had to life the tank and airbox. Not enough slack in the inline for a proper adjustment. The throttle was sticking.
