This is starting to look like a ploy by JD to get all of us to agree that his Daytona is worn out so he can show this thread to his wife and let US convince her that he needs a new bike.

I've done some mild engine mods to some cars and a waverunner in the past. For me, it seems like the more I try to get out of it, the more it takes a fine line to get the most out of it falls off quickly if something isn't right.
Honestly i am thinking the motor has had a less than loving life..
Not sure on the life before i bought it with 10,xxx miles, but i know it had been dumped for sure once, and i am pretty sure the guy i picked it up from liked some wheelies, burnouts and hooliganism.
not sure on the owner before him.
But i would say the motor feels a bit tired more than anything, will do a compression check as well in the next week. Bike should of been more in the 110-114rwhp zone, but the new tune the bike feels immensely better than before.. hell 7rwhp & almost 4ft lbs will do that for a (675/600) especially from 6,000 till redline.. I think the bike would like some added timing as well, being it holds peak power from 12,000-13,500.
You will notice a huge difference from when you rode it till now, that i assure you.

Brett - saw you had your gear up for sale in the classifieds. Have you replaced it already with new stuff?

I'm going no gear for next season.

I picked up a jacket, full gloves and boots so far. Pants and a new helmet before March.

I'ld love to have them but as much as I like the Ohlins, I'm going to be out of the market for upgrades for awhile. Money is going out a lot faster than it's coming in right now. I can't maintain this for too many months.
