I actually was interested in a bonneville and in the triumph classics catalog I saw a pic of the street triple r and it was love at first sight. I read about it and I went and checked it out. I never drove it before I bought it but I sat on it and it was a good fit so I bought it and am happy as can be.

I test road one in 2006, ignored the weekly calls from the dealer "to see how im doing" until he gave up, test road another in 2011 when I could actually afford one, then bought a different one without a test ride

I actually test road Richard Harris's AMA race 675r at Barber Motorsports Park. You can't get much better than that. I was sold instantly. Getting mine next weekend!!

Didn't really need too. Had a speed triple, and already knew what I needed to know about the 675, so short of going over a few niggly things at the dealer, I bought it as a consignment and rode it home. Been in love ever since. Just straight up dig this thing!

No, There weren't test rides back then when I bought it new in '07. I bought it on a best friends recommendation, that and a fuck load of hopes and dreams that it wouldn't be a high maintenance lemon much like the pre mid 80's Triumph's.

Glad I didn't have to worry. 38k on mine and still runs like a champ.

I was REALLY taking a chance though, anything British (asides from the new Triumph's to me) are typically garbage.

I didn't test ride or actually see my bike in person before I already wrote a check. But I was looking for a caspian blue Daytona on the east coast which was hard to find for some reason. I drove 500 miles to pick her up and have loved every day sense.
