I wouldnt ride with a passenger if you cant even have your toes on the ground bottom line, but thats just me.

Confused the OP with Aussieak's response. Yeah if you can't tip toe, I wouldn't suggest a passenger at all. I can flat foot it and some people make me nervous because they aren't good passengers.

Its your bike. If you want to drop it half an inch do it, just keep your stock parts as spares.

Im guessing if you that tall you don't weigh much. You should probably invest in the correct spring first, adjust your sag, then see how it feels.

Plus 1 on what Dave said. Adjust the suspension first. Might give you enough to feel more comfortable.

Yeah im 5'8" and could hardly tip-toe the bike to begin with, fiddled with the suspension a little, according to the manual. softened it up a little. It helped me get to being on the balls of my feet so i was alot more stable. Being only 150ish the stock setup was too hard for me. I would agree looking at suspension setup before looking at lowering the bike

im 5'6 with 30 inch inseam on the r suspension and i can get both balls of my feet down thanks to me being fat but can no way flat foot. just something you have to get used to.

I bought a d675 with a psr lowering link on it as the chick that owned is was about 5'3". The front was adjusted as well- not sure about the specifics. I've since swapped it for stock as I dont need it. If interested I'll sell mine to you if you decide to go that route.

I'm 6'1 and can easily flat foot on both sides, but i have realized that in just about every scenario i still choose to to use the balls of my feet instead. Maybe because of better feedback from the road/bike and then i will have a faster reaction time just in case. Just something to think about and that way you don't compromise the bikes geometry. Grass isn't always greener on the other side!

All though i do completely understand wanting to be flat footed with a passenger. Flat footed does provide more stability with the extra weight no doubt.

I would spring the bike to your correct weight, then shave the crap out of your seat. I am about 5'4" and 3/4 of an inch... Don't forget the 3/4"...

I can not flat foot at all... Only one foot at a time, and I have no issues, other then backing up.
