I'm still struggling with the bike being lowered four inches with just a shock modification. Doesn't make sense to me. That's a massive amount! There almost HAS to be a change in that linkage somewhere/somehow. Especially if you say the shock is now correct as stock and you are still not set up close.... Something is off here...

That's exactly what I thought! But I've measured the triangles and dog bone and held stock ones up against them and they are identical. :( I wish I could just replace the linkage!

The thing that's bugging me the most at the moment is that with a stock shock and an ohlins spring that is correct for my weight I simply cannot get my sag below 50mm and it needs to be 30-35mm.

What would be preventing my sag going lower? Mis-labled spring???

I'm thinking mis-labeled spring, yeah, that's why a suspension guy ought to check it out with a spring dyno.

Ok so I know a few members have asked this and there doesn't seem to be any definitive answer so I thought I'd post up what I've found after many hours of research.

Below is a conversion chart for OHLINS SPRING RATES based on the number on the Ohlins spring.

For example, my number is 01092-31/95 L376. The L376 is just the lot number so ignore that, it means nothing. The first part, 01092 refers to the length and the number after the dash, -31, refers to the spring rate. So my spring is apparently 170mm tall with a rate of 9.68kg/mm.

Almost all Ohlins springs are 57mm in diameter.
