I'm debating on whether or not to pick this up or the rf1100 - I have 2 Bell Star Helmets (selling one brand new / keeping the other) but my older rf1000 is still my favorite for my head shape. Do you think I will see a difference between the x12 and rf1100 mainly spirited canyon riding and commuting.

LOVE.....I mean LOVE my x-ELEVEN

Light, not noisy, great in weather, and great ventilation..........

only thing I hated after coughing up the price for it is the damn replacement shield prices

keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down!

The X-12 flows a considerable bit more air through the helmet which makes it slightly more noisy. The X-12 has 5 intake vents and 10 exhaust vents versus the RF-1100 which has 3 intake vents and 6 exhaust vents. Both helmets are very quiet still.

The X-12 is definitely going to offer more stability at higher speeds with the increased size of the rear spoiler.

It IS a pretty sweet helmet for British riders - or anyone that rides a British bike. :D

I'm bloody brit, I got me one, was lucky enough to score a 50% off certificate from Shoei, made the price a lot more bearable.
