Default Engine light on after removing butterfly valve

Hi Guys,

I took out the cat and the butterfly valve, and replaced it with a straight pipe.

Sounds much better and much louder, more mid-range tourque.

But the management light has come on now, does anyone know the best way to keep the light off? I've used Tune ECU with my cable, tried to take off all the fault codes, but it keeps coming back on.

Anyone have good advice?

It's giving an error because it expects the EXUP valve to be there, you need to disable the EXUP in tuneecu

This has also been done and answered about 100000 times, search function works still. Google has not gone out of biz.

I've disabled the EXBV on TuneECU. The light still came back on.

I've got a friend that has a full Arrow system, and he also removed the EXBV (due to the full system) and the motor.

Would there be a software that can take the light away completely?

I've searched the whole forum. But i can't seem to find the right answer i need.

I've tried everything everyone has said, and they basically take it back to the dealers, i've done so, and the dealers here are useless and not helpful. And in my country, and in Cape Town, there's only 1 dealer i can go to.

So excuse me if i repeated this question, but i really need help.

If you've disabled the EXUP/EXBV, the code must be from something else.

What fault code number are you getting?

Is the O2 sensor in your new pipe and did you disable it if it isn't?
