Thanks for the right up done my first ever oil change today and the oil change bit was easy. Even after managing to drop the old filter and sump plug in the basin of oil.

I haven't found a 'oil' thread. What do you guys recommend for brand and weight? also for filters? my nearest Triumph dealer is 60 miles away......

I always use Mobil 1 4T 10w40. Manual has its recommendation but everyone uses what they're comfortable with. It shouldn't have any adverse effects as long as its moto specific. You could have the dealer mail you one. Mine does it for me at minimal shipping cost. Don't forget to get a new crush washer as well.

Any auto parts store. Doesn't have to be motorcycle specific just needs to be the correct size.

What is everyone's favorite brand of oil? Just Mobil 1 synthetic? I won't he doing any track racing, just every day riding.

I always use Mobil 1 in everything I own! Been a firm believer it's the best out there but I have been biased since I sell it :D

I use Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10w40. 3 quarts is perfect.
