As I've just fitted my new R/R under the recent recall I though I would post a picture of the old R/R next to the new replacement so all can see the difference.
This was for a 2006 Daytona where the R/R is mounted at the back of the motor next to the shock. The new R/R comes with a new mounting bracket and a new sub loom. The old one is on the left, the new one on the right together with the sub loom and the bracket. Hope this helps. |

Thank you. That confirms that it's the same kit they've been using for the past couple years.

So does the bracket move it at all or just accommodate the new shape?

It just accommodates the new shape as there isn't really a lot of room for much else. It sits in the same place as the original.

Look at the sticky started by MacBandit in this section. It details the VIN's covered. Or just call your dealer.

The new bracket fits slightly different and makes getting to the bolt on the left side a bit of a pain. That is, if you don't want to remove your shock. Took a little creative finesse to get it all bolted up. The new unit just looks more robust and the connectors are far better! Have you done your fuel pump relay yet? It's on recall too. If not, get that loom and do it while you are in there...
