Need 1/2" drop

Hey guys,

I just need a 1/2" drop so I can be flat footed... what do you recommend? Do I need a lowering link or should I just play around with the suspension?

Would I need to lower the front as well if the back is only 1/2"?

First off, very bad choice for a first bike. Secondly, I wouldn't lower it. If you need more clearance, shave the seat.

Why do you need to flat foot the bike? I can't and i get along just fine.

I'm short as well 5.5Ft I shaved the original seat got 20mm off it, its still to tall for me but. I am not on tip toes any more.
So some of the challenges are:

• I cant flat foot both feet - problem solved I don't use both feet any more while sitting at lights a little lean is fine even on take off.
• I can reverse park This is the most worrying thing for me. I nearly dropped the bike on the 1st day trying to roll back into the garage. The seat shave helped a lot but not perfect. Where I struggle I just get off the bike and push and pull into position.
• Don't feel confident having a pillion. Because I cant flat foot both feet I am a little worried about taking a pillion. I may get some feedback or advise on this but at this stage no pillion on my bike.

I'm 5'4" with a 28" inseam (you do the math) and I can man handle the bike decently. Although putting the kick stand up and down requires some acrobatics. I'd love to be able to tip toe, but that's never going to happen.

I wouldnt ride with a pillion unles you can at least tip toe it. Thats just me, but added weught and higher center of gravity plus not being stable makes for a not so safe stop at a light or stop sign.....
