Anyone got a how to for heat wrap? Im sure I could just YT it, but wasnt sure if anyone here has somthing that could help. I plan on wrapping mine headers back. If anyone has any tips, what tools (specifically for the ss ties) and so on would be great!

The ss ties are shit that they give you! Go to your auto parts store get and the screw clamps. The ss zip ties will fail on you. Soak the wrap in water before applying and then depending on the thickness of your wrap ensure you have an overlap. The instructions should tell you the recommended overlap. Let them dry and then spray it with whatever they came with. I went and got some high heat header spray from Auto Zone for touch ups.

My wrap came with stainless ties, but I used stainless steel hose clamps. easy to do, and I feel confident they will be good and tight. If they do need to be tightned later. No problem.

Ok cool, good info on the ties, looks like ill go with the clamps instead. I have the lava wrap, and the spray isnt really required is it? I mean I know it will help the wrap last longer but other than that are there any benefits? Also, how much of a bitch was it to do your whole system? I heard the mid pipe doesnt exactly just come out easily lol

The hardest part when I did from the headers back was just the headers. The three drop down pips and then finding a way to cleanly make it come into one was the most difficult for me. I would use the spray since it's supposed to help cure the wrap.
